Overall Satisfaction Description: I booked this accommodation because I wanted to visit Disneyland and there weren’t many options for triple rooms near Tokyo Station. Unfortunately, Tokyo Station turned out to be much more complicated than I expected. I got off at Narita Express and ended up wandering around for a while before finally finding my way.
There was a nearby convenience store across the street, but the surroundings were mostly dark, so I didn’t feel comfortable exploring much. If I were to visit Tokyo again, I would not choose to stay in this area.
The hotel itself had an inefficient system where I had to go up to the 14th floor and then descend to get to my room. This was particularly challenging for someone with aching legs. However, the cleanliness of the hotel was not bad.
However, on the second day, I left the room after getting my key card, and when I returned, I found the card still inserted and the lights turned on. It seemed like the cleaner forgot to remove the card, and it made me feel uneasy.
Please note that the mentioned accommodation cost of approximately 80万KRW is equivalent to around $800 USD.
Based on your stay at Yae Nomidori in Hachobori, I understand that the location was not convenient for your visit to Tokyo. However, there are still some tourist attractions and activities nearby that I can recommend to make your stay more enjoyable.
While the area may not be bustling with activity, one attraction that might interest you is the Tokyo Disneyland, which you had mentioned wanting to visit. Despite the distance from Tokyo Station, it is relatively accessible from Hachobori. You can take a direct train from Hachobori Station to Maihama Station, which is the nearest station to the theme park. Tokyo Disneyland offers a magical experience for visitors of all ages, with a variety of rides, shows, and entertainment options.
Another attraction worth exploring is the Tokyo Sea Life Park, located nearby. This aquarium showcases a diverse range of marine life, including penguins, dolphins, and sea turtles. It offers a great opportunity to learn about marine ecosystems and interact with various sea creatures.
For those interested in history and culture, a visit to the Edo-Tokyo Museum would be highly recommended. This museum provides an immersive experience into Tokyo’s rich history, particularly the Edo period. You can explore life-sized replicas of historical buildings, view artifacts, and learn about the city’s transformation over the years.
If you are looking for a serene and scenic spot to relax, consider Hamarikyu Gardens. Nestled along the waterfront, this traditional Japanese garden offers a tranquil escape from the bustling city. You can stroll through landscaped gardens, enjoy picturesque tea houses, and even take a boat ride on the garden’s pond.
While Hachobori may not offer a vibrant nightlife, it still has some hidden gems in terms of dining options. You can explore local izakayas (Japanese pubs) and restaurants that offer authentic Japanese cuisine. Trying out some local specialties such as sushi, tempura, or ramen would give you a taste of Tokyo’s culinary scene.
To summarize, despite the inconveniences you faced with the location of Yae Nomidori, there are several attractions and activities in the vicinity. Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Sea Life Park, Edo-Tokyo Museum, Hamarikyu Gardens, and local dining options can add value to your stay in Hachobori.
