On the Booking.com reservation site, the original price is clearly marked with a diagonal line and the discount is displayed and in red letters on the payment screen – I made the payment even though the discount amount was marked as a discount promotion at Booking.com’s expense, but the credit card payment was made with the original amount without the discount, so no matter how many times I called, they kept calling. No call (attempted to call dozens of times).
So, I sent a message and email saying that I had clearly seen the discount sign and asked what was not on discount. I received a reply saying that if I took a screenshot of the discount sign and posted it, they would check it and make a decision. That was totally gutsy!
I’ve already reserved and paid for the room, so I can’t see it on the reservation site anymore. I’m wondering how I can take a screenshot, and I wonder who takes a screenshot in advance because they expect someone to make a fraudulent payment with an undiscounted amount, so I won’t do it without a screenshot.
