In case you are wondering, I am briefly posting information about the Colon Hotel and Grand Hotel Central in Barcelona, which I have visited.
As shown in the satellite photo below, the Colon Hotel is located in front of Barcelona Cathedral, and the Grand Hotel is located on a large street one block away.
Both hotels are close to or adjacent to Barcelona Cathedral, within walking distance of Barcelona’s waterfront, adjacent to the Gothic Quarter, and less than a 10-minute walk from Plaza Catalunya.
The difference between the two hotels is that the Colon Hotel has a view of Barcelona Cathedral, and the Grand Hotel does not have a view of the front of Barcelona Cathedral.
Additionally, Colon Hotel is a 4-star hotel and Grand Hotel is a 5-star hotel.
The reason for choosing the Colon Hotel is the cathedral view, but if you get a cathedral view room, the Colon Hotel is slightly more expensive (based on when I went).

Advantages
The view of the cathedral is picturesque.
You can just go up to the rooftop bar without having to wait in line.
To go to the rooftop bar if you are not a hotel guest, you have to stand in line outside the hotel during busy times and then go up when a seat becomes available.
Cons: Breakfast is not good
It is noisy during the day due to the Barcelona Cathedral.
Grand Hotel Central
Pros: Very friendly.
When I arrived in front of the hotel and went to Chekinha, Ji-kwon came out and greeted me, knew my name, and asked who I was.
Breakfast is very good.
I don’t like bread, but various sandwiches?
I ate it very deliciously.
Room is clean.
Cons: There were biker gangs in Barcelona too.
The road in front of the hotel may be the main road, but there are often cars and motorcycles driving around late at night.

The room is not big, but it is clean and tidy.
It doesn’t look like it in the photo, but it has a bit of luxury.

Eating it with cool cava in the morning eases the jet lag and makes it a great first day of travel.

To see this view, you must select a cathedral view room, and to reserve a cathedral view room, you must make a reservation at least 7 months in advance.
View of the cathedral at night The cathedral bell rings every 30 minutes, and another bell rings for the same number of hours every hour.
If you get a cathedral view room, you can see a view just like the picture while you sleep.
Breakfast I chose the food, but the quality of the food was not that good.
However, if you start your tour after drinking a cool glass of cava in the morning, you can get more into the atmosphere of Barcelona.
