Overall Satisfaction Description: Although the hotel is advertised as a 5-minute walk from Minato-Mirai Station on the Mita Line, it actually takes more than 10 minutes to walk. It is also within walking distance from Shimbashi Station. However, I would not recommend walking if the weather conditions are unfavorable, such as during snowy, rainy, or windy days. The hotel is located near Tokyo Tower, art museums, and exhibition halls, which are nice attractions, but it can be inconvenient to walk to these places in bad weather. Apart from that, it is quite nice. Upon arriving at the hotel, Tokyo Tower can be seen from the street while walking from the station. I was assigned to the 7th floor. Since check-in is at 3 pm, I arrived early and paid an additional fee of about 2 hours and 30 minutes for an early check-in.
The first floor serves as a tea house and breakfast area. Check-in is done on the 2nd floor.
The room I stayed in was a double standard room with an openable window, which was nice.
The hotel is themed with various tea-related items in each room, and there is another tea set in the cabinet.
The bed condition was very good.
There is a round window above the bed, behind which there is a combined bathroom/toilet.
The tea set.
Coffee pot.
When you open this cabinet, there is a refrigerator, another tea set, and coffee.
The room is spacious as it is a double room. If it were a single room, I would have more space to use.
The bathroom. The water in the bathtub did not drain properly.
All amenities provided were the 1899 brand.
Just a while ago, it was mentioned that behind the round window above the bed was the bathtub.
Breakfast is served buffet-style.
This place is particularly known for its freshly baked pastries. I enjoyed the croissant.
I made an early dinner reservation at 1899 Restaurant Ochanomizu, and the Afternoon Tea set was served.
It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Ochanomizu Station to get there. Although the hotel also operates a tea house on the 1st floor, they do not offer the Afternoon Tea set, so I made a reservation at Ochanomizu. The reservation was made through ‘The Table’.
There are several choices for the welcome tea.
Now, the popular Afternoon Tea one-plate set.
They also served hojicha tea and ice cream, and the portion was generous.
