Sicily reviews 1

Hello~ Before going on a trip to Sicily, Italy, I got a lot of information from Wandering and I thought it would be good to be helpful to those who are planning a trip, so I am leaving a review!1.

Sicily flight ticket tipsFirst of all, I paid for Palermo in/out at the same time in Rome, but I couldn’t change/cancel the reservation.

I even rented a car to go around Sicily for 8 days, but if you’re planning like me, you can go Palermo in/Catania out or Catania in/Palermo out.

Please make a reservation.

When I arrived at Palermo Airport, I picked up a rental car and drove to Taormina, right on the other side, for 3 and a half hours.

^^2.

RentI searched a lot for ‘sicily by car’ / ‘hertz’ and when I arrived at the airport, I saw that there were too many people making reservations and it took too long to pick up the car.

Also, you may have made a reservation for full coverage at RentalCars.

com, but since it is an agency, there are many posts saying that you will need to obtain additional insurance when you ultimately acquire the car.

I made a reservation for full coverage with a Toyota Hybrid on the ‘noleggiare’ official website >>> In conclusion, I am very satisfied!I did a mobile web check-in, showed my passport and license, said OK, and even upgraded my car for free!!So, I received a Toyota C-HR Hab with 15,000 km.

The staff was friendly and taught me how to start the engine and fill up the tank, so it was convenient!** When picking up the car, I brought both an international driver’s license and a Korean English driver’s license, but I asked for both.

Take them both with you as a safety bag haha.

3.

DrivingAt Daiso, I bought an attachable holder that can be placed on the car dashboard, and my car supports Apple CarPlay, so it was very convenient!Waze reflects real-time traffic conditions better than Google Maps (traffic accidents, speed cameras, presence of vehicles stopped in front, etc.

), and ZTL also warns you and tells you what to avoid, so you can guide the way with the Waze app.

I heard that Italians drive rough, but that’s true.

The blinker never turns on when changing lanes;;The first lane is definitely a passing lane, and the remaining lanes are for constant speed driving, but they all go really fast instead of constant speed haha.

But when I actually tried it, it was similar to Korea!4.

Accommodation in TaorminaI searched a lot on Naver blogs, cafes, YouTube, etc.

, and Taormina was the place that everyone was satisfied with.

So I stayed for 4 nights in Taormina alone haha.

I stayed at UNA HOTEL, and although the room condition was very old, I was very satisfied with the facilities, including an infinity pool on a private beach, an ocean view restaurant, a free shuttle bus connecting the hotel with downtown Taormina, a gym, etc.

!!! !Recommended for those who travel long distances!!5.

Very satisfied with TaorminaI stayed 4 nights in Taormina and it was great.

The neighborhood was quiet, quiet, and clean.

All the Italian people I met in restaurants and shops were friendly! All restaurants with a rating of 4.

2 or higher on Google Maps were okay.

The wine is cheap, so it would be a good idea to have it by the bottle!Be sure to visit Taormina~!~!If you like wine, you can sign up for a tour of the ‘Donnafugata’ winery near Taormina, so it might be a good idea to go!The best of Sicily👍🏻.
