Ambience of the Surroundings:
I had a satisfying experience as I booked this hotel for its Tokyo Tower view. The fact that I was assigned one of the highest floors made it even better. Although the room was smaller than expected, it was still spacious enough to place my luggage comfortably. The room condition was excellent, and the staff was friendly. I didn’t use the massage chair since it appeared more suitable for elementary school children. The bathroom was quite small, resembling a makeshift one, and there was no bathtub.
The location of the hotel was outstanding, as it was extremely close to the subway station. This worked well for my itinerary, especially since I planned to visit places like Yoyogi and Nakameguro. However, I must mention that after checking in and heading towards Tokyo Tower in the evening, the surrounding area seemed quite unsafe. There were African guards positioned in front of buildings, and patrols of suspicious individuals by the police, conducting random bag checks. I witnessed two individuals being subjected to these checks, which was quite frightening.
Despite the safety concerns in the area, the hotel itself was conveniently located near the subway station, making it ideal for exploring nearby attractions using the subway. If I have future plans to visit Yoyogi or Nakameguro, I would consider staying at this hotel again.
If you’re staying at Rem Rotofugi in Rotofugi, Tokyo, there are several nearby tourist attractions and activities that I would recommend for you to explore during your visit. Despite some safety concerns in the area, the close proximity to the subway station makes it convenient to access these attractions.
One notable attraction is Tokyo Tower, which you can enjoy a view of right from your hotel room. Consider taking a closer look at this iconic landmark by visiting its observation decks. From here, you can admire panoramic views of the city and even catch a glimpse of Mount Fuji on clear days.
Another interesting area to explore is Yoyogi, located not too far from the hotel. Yoyogi Park is a popular spot among locals and tourists alike, offering a peaceful escape from the bustling city. Take a stroll through the park, relax on the lawns, and perhaps even catch a cultural event or performance at the park’s outdoor stage.
Nakameguro is also worth visiting, and it can be easily reached from the nearby subway station. This trendy neighborhood is known for its picturesque Meguro River lined with cherry blossom trees. During springtime, the river becomes a beautiful hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spot, where you can enjoy a leisurely walk and soak in the festive atmosphere.
If you’re interested in shopping and entertainment, head over to Shibuya, which is just a short subway ride away. Shibuya Crossing, one of the busiest intersections in the world, is a must-see. Experience the organized chaos as pedestrians flood the streets from multiple directions when the traffic lights turn red.
For those interested in Japanese history and culture, consider a visit to Meiji Shrine, located near Yoyogi Park. This serene Shinto shrine is dedicated to Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken and offers a tranquil retreat from the city. Take a peaceful stroll through the beautiful forested grounds and admire the traditional architecture.
Overall, despite the safety concerns in the surrounding area, Rem Rotofugi’s close proximity to the subway station makes it a convenient base to explore Tokyo’s attractions. Whether you’re interested in iconic landmarks, peaceful parks, trendy neighborhoods, or cultural sites, there is something for everyone to enjoy during their stay at this accommodation.
