I suddenly went on a trip and had to stay on January 1st.
I searched reviews and selected based on location.
The location is good, near Bonmacche Lafayette Opera Garnier.
The airport taxi driver also said that he had been to Paris several times, saying that it was a good location, a good place to live, and a safe neighborhood.
Ha, this was my first time trying for 3 stars, and now I won’t go again.
The first night we arrived, we woke up at 3 o’clock because of the time difference, and while sitting on the bed, my mom asked me if there were bugs on my bed. I thought it was some kind of dust and thought it was a bug.
It was my first time seeing a bed bug, but I had studied a lot before going on a trip to South America, so when I saw it, it looked like a bed bug.
As soon as I checked in, I searched all the beds and found them clean, but I don’t know where they came from.
They caught him alive with a huge travel toilet paper, soaked the toilet paper in the bathroom sink, drowned him, and put him in a mini ziplock bag.
I immediately cleaned out all my belongings.
I really don’t leave my suitcase open all the time, but it’s crazy how many hours I sleep with it open.
More than anything, I was so worried that her mom got bitten, and she seemed to think she was being too extreme since she didn’t know what bed bugs were.
(I found out later and it was even more of a fuss.)
After organizing all my belongings, I went down to the front desk and there was an older woman manager. I found this on the bed in my room, and while I was organizing it, I saw it on the ceiling and on the wall.
I want a refund right away.
Then he kept talking about where he found it, etc.
This is a big deal. They said they would change me to a different room on a different floor, so I asked for a refund right away.
Then he asked me to take a picture and send it to him by email.
I also took a very clear photo.
In the middle of the conversation, I asked where you guys came from, and when he started to say something like you brought it from my luggage, I’m thinking outside of common sense that bugs came from my luggage, right?
He said that there are no bed bugs like this in Korea and that these are European bed bugs that live in Europe.
They asked me what to do about the suite, so I asked for a refund right away.
Even though I was swearing inside, I kept a smiling face and spoke quietly.
They immediately refunded me for the remaining two nights.
Since there were no signs of being bitten up to that point, it was difficult to ask for compensation for the damage, so I said that if I showed any signs of being bitten in a few days, I would file a claim for treatment and laundry expenses that accrued later.
Still, the manager shared photos with the cleaning team members as if it was a big deal, shared zipper bags with the fish caught alive, and called a cleaning company.
But here, some of the walls in the hallway and room were in the form of carpet.
Still, this room had a terrace, was bright, and looked clean;;;
Anyway, I saw bed bugs crawling on the ceiling and walls.
From then on, my itinerary was always 4-star or 5-star.
I know it’s a problem for people who have stayed before, regardless of the star rating, but at least for peace of mind ㅜㅡㅜ
During the approximately 20-day itinerary, I have not encountered any bed bugs since.
Fortunately, it didn’t stick to my luggage or clothes, so I thought it was a good thing.
I am attaching a photo of bed bugs.
For those who can’t see gross things, be careful.
