I traveled to Sicily for 7 days and 6 nights starting November 3rd.
Even though I traveled by rental car, there were many cities that I couldn’t see because I didn’t have enough time.
If I come back, I think I’ll have to wait at least 2 weeks.
The cities I visited were Palermo, Cefalu, Monreale, Trapani, Marsala, Agrigento, Syracuse, Catania, Etna, and Taormina (Isola Bella), and I tried to eat all my meals at restaurants as much as possible.
🥹🙏The lunch break is from 3:00 to 7:30, so it is sometimes difficult to schedule a meal while traveling.
Also, most parking lots are outside the ztl zone (restricted area for residents) and far from tourist attractions, and there is a ticket system where you decide in advance how much you will park, so if there is more to see or takes longer than expected, you may have to eat a quick meal.
It felt alive.
Anyway, the best restaurant on my trip to Sicily was Mandralisca Sedici Sicilian Bistrot in Cefalu.
🤩🫶🥹.
I ordered crudo di scampi e gambero blu and mussel dish.
Some of the mussels have a slight smell, so it’s difficult to recommend them.
The shrimp sashimi was amazingly delicious.
From then on, I kept ordering shrimp or raw fish at every restaurant I went to, but I couldn’t keep up with this restaurant.
It was fresher than the restaurant next to Catania Fish Market.
After going to various restaurants, I seriously thought about whether I should turn around and go back to Cefalu.
😅 Coperto (table charge) was 1 euro per person, which was the cheapest price I had while traveling in Italy (compared to when I lived in Italy before).
It was the best restaurant in the entire province.
If you travel to Cefalu, be sure to try this restaurant’s menu if possible.
