Amsterdam West Cord City Center Hotel accommodation review (as of October 2022)

Accommodation name: West Cord City Center Hotel
Address:Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 50, 1012 SC Amsterdam, Netherlands
Room: Double room for 2 people I visited from late September to early October, and it is 600 meters away from the central station.
Unfortunately, the road from Central Station to the hotel is currently under construction, so it is difficult to travel by foot, especially if you have a carrier.
If it is, it can be difficult… When it rains or snows, the road turns into a dirt road, so your suitcase or shoes are difficult.
It gets dirty.
It was quite difficult to drag the suitcase from Central Station to the hotel.
The location is good.
Dam Square is nearby, and places like Zaanse Schans, Giethoorn, and Volendam are nearby.
It was nice that the station was close enough to go to the suburbs of Amsterdam.
There is also a lover canal cruise nearby, so it’s great for enjoying a tour while looking at the night view.
I made a reservation for 9pm and it was great…
The accommodation is really small.
It is very inconvenient to place a bag or eat something near the bed.
At the reception desk on the first floor, you can borrow umbrellas for free, and there is a vending machine and a simple mart where you can buy beer.
You can buy it and eat it.
Of course, there are many supermarkets nearby, so it will be cheaper to buy beer there…

Evaluation: The location is good, but the commute is inconvenient due to nearby road construction.
The room is very narrow when using a double room.
Especially if your visit is limited to just sleeping because it is structurally narrow.
I think it’s appropriate…
